For India as of today there are around 166 COVID-19 positive cases and 3 people have died.
Coronavirus is a dangerous virus which is a little more devastating than the normal flu which is being said that, it has been originated from bats where it was first diagnosed in Wuhan, China.
In the case of India, the virus cases till now are because of the incoming wanderlust people who have traveled and came back mainly from Italy, South Korea, Dubai, Singapore and Spain where majority of cases suddenly came into light. The good news is, till now there are no cases of community spreading of the virus in our country.
In order to not have the virus follow these steps:
- HANDS: Wash them often
- ELBOW: Cough into it
- FACE: Don’t touch it
- FEET: Stay more than 3ft (1m) apart
- FEEL: Sick? Stay home
Washing hands with soap before eating or returning home is of utmost importance since soap breaks the Coronavirus shell (made of protein and fats). Soap consists of two ends, one is attracted to water and the other to fats. Thus, as soap molecules come in contact with the virus shell it helps to pull off that fat layer one by one and kill the virus. The hand washing procedure should be carried for 20 seconds to successfully kill the virus if any.
Carrying around a sanitizer with 60–70% alcohol in it is also recommended. I repeat, do not get any kind of sanitizer, read the content carefully.
Keeping safe distance till the situation gets under control is another major thing which should be rigorously followed by everyone, especially in counties like India where the population density is too high.
Apart from this, helping others around understand the situation well as a responsible citizen and avoiding any unnecessary spread of misinformation through media sharing should be strictly avoided.
Rest, there is no need to panic. Stay safe and make sure that the people around you are too.
