The Journey of No Return – A Poem

Old man now I have become
just staring through
the window of a hospital
placed at a distant corner

Family visits once in a day
so thankful for this lovely way
life has been kind throughout

Not much time’s left
but there’s a sense of satisfaction
so many memories
are just now floating around

My body has weakened
but mind games are still on
remembering the times
with friends, family & the woman
as we deeply cared

So many worries
now seem funny
a little more carefree
could have lived already

Leaving now the past
the setting is done
for a journey of no return!
