The Horrid Incident – A Poem

In the boat
as we boarded
came a wave
just water hoarded

A few nautical miles
as the boat went
we all came to the deck

Saw a swan ringing its song
the water had fishes swimming across

O! the dolphins were so quick
as we photographed with a click!

Deeper we went
waves rumbled
the boat tilted and crumbled

All called for their lives
the sheer intent to grasp
somehow got hold of the boat’s tank

Climbed as we, wet and wielded
as we saw a ship at a distance

Called with a gun the ship soon listened
Somehow survived this horrid incident!
